About

I’m Tirth Raval. I shoot and edit out of Gandhinagar, and I’ve been doing it seriously for four years.

I came out of a B.Tech program with a decent job waiting and a camera I couldn’t put down. The engineering hasn’t gone to waste; it’s why I’m calm about timelines, data wrangling and a schedule that has to actually work on the day. But the reason I’m here is simpler: I like watching people forget the camera is on.

Because I cut my own footage, I shoot for the edit. Fewer setups, more usable ones. I’d rather get three frames that carry the scene than forty that need rescuing. On brand work that means a tighter day; on weddings it means I’m not in your face; on narrative it means the director and I are talking about rhythm before we talk about lenses.

If you’re reading this, you probably have something you want made well. Send it over. I answer every email myself.

One frame, two films. In colour it's a morning in the mountains; in mono it's the memory of one. Deciding which film you're actually making is the edit.
